Is it a medical device?
No. It is a cosmetic reading of an ordinary photo. It does not detect, diagnose or treat any condition, and it says so to the user.
Is the photo stored?
No. The photo is sent once for analysis and discarded. Only the textual result can be saved, and only with consent.
Does it work on all skin tones?
The analysis is instructed never to infer lighting or quality from skin tone. We review behaviour across skin tones during every deployment.
